Uganda, May 16 -- Probationer Police Constable (PPC) Jovian Olepus, attached to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit in Napak District, now has a reason to smile after receiving two pairs of specially designed shoes for his large foot.

His welfare has been undermined since joining the Uganda Police Force, with difficulty finding suitable police shoes due to his unusually large foot size (size 17).

The officer faced a challenge that affected his comfort while performing his daily duties, police said in a statement.

''Since joining the Uganda Police Force, PPC Olepus had faced persistent difficulties in finding fitting police shoes due to his unusually large foot size - a challenge that affected his comfort while executing daily duties.'' It reads....
