Uganda, April 18 -- A section of founders of different NGOs and members of the opposition political parties from the Kigezi Sub-region have resolved to engage all their area Members of Parliament on the Protection of Sovereignty Bill, 2026 which they feel has "bad sections that should not be considered."

They made the resolution on Saturday in a meeting that was organized by anti-corruption crusaders under their umbrella body, Kick Corruption Out of Uganda, in Kabale town where they also agreed to engage the public through radio talk shows and community meetings so that they can get informed about the consequences of the Bill if signed into law.
