Katende installed as 14th president of Rotary Club Kampala
Uganda, May 15 -- Irene Katende has been installed as the 14th president of the Rotary Club of Kampala Day Break, pledging to strengthen fellowship, grow membership and expand the club's impact in communities.
Speaking at the installation ceremony in Kampala on Thursday night, Katende said her one-year term would focus on building a vibrant club capable of transforming lives through service.
"I thank God for the service. I wish to sincerely thank the outgoing president. Our focus is to strengthen our fellowship, grow our membership, and increase our impact in society," Katende said in her maiden speech.
"We will prioritise investment in the growth and vibrancy of the club. Together with the board, we pledge to serve with dedication."
