Uganda, May 13 -- Jinja City's leadership has outlined plans to drive development through improved service delivery, infrastructure upgrades, and enhanced revenue collection as their new terms of office commence.

The Mayor-elect for Jinja North City Division, Mr Ayoub Wabika, intends to begin the city development journey with the attraction of a modern market and the construction of a permanent campus for public universities in the area to improve the economic status.

"There are always enormous economic opportunities in places where markets and universities are established, so I want to apply this model to foster growth in this term,'' Mr Wabika said.
