Uganda, April 23 -- The Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) sector has created an additional more than 750,000 jobs in the last three years boosting the total number of employed Ugandans to 1.3 million.

This reveal was made by Dr Aminah Zawedde, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of ICT & National Guidance, in a speech that was read by Mr Moses Watasa, the Ministry's Commissioner in-charge of Information and Communication, during the 23rd Graduation Ceremony of Kampala University on Thursday.

Dr Zawedde, through Mr Watasa informed the congregation that the government has in addition, extended the connection to 64 percent in the last three years, with the major target of connecting the whole country.
