How local foundation has assisted residents turn faith into enterprise
Uganda, April 11 -- In many suburbs of Kampala and the fast-growing towns around it, faith is more than a weekly ritual. It is a coping mechanism, a source of hope, and increasingly, a starting point for economic survival. Yet for many young people, especially women, turning that faith into sustainable income remains a challenge.
According to the 2024 State of Entrepreneurship in Uganda report, women-led micro and small businesses scored 56 percent on the National Entrepreneurship Index. This is slightly below the national average.
