Uganda, April 15 -- Uganda has set up the first institution dedicated towards forensic science aimed at tackling modern crime through enhanced investigation and prevention.

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) campus in Jinja is the first of its kind outside India, where highly skilled professionals will be trained.

Mr Air Commodore Kedar Thaakar, the NSFU Jinja campus director, said the university remains the world's first and only institution dedicated entirely to forensic sciences.

"This university was established to nurture experts who can support law enforcement agencies with scientific investigation methods. That vision remains clear today not only for India but for the global community," he said during a celebration ...
