Uganda, April 25 -- A heavy downpour on Friday evening left trails of destruction in Bikonko village, Namasagali Sub-County, Kamuli district, rendering 327 people homeless and destroying crop gardens.
Ms Yosefina Bikufa, 67, recounted how she survived narrowly with the support of her daughter after strong winds blew off the roof of her house and the kitchen.
"It was like God had foreseen and taken away the eight grandkids to visit their sick uncle; there would have been deaths. Now we don't know how we will sleep with the children as the kitchen is too small," she said. She cried.
Mr Christopher Sooka Ngobi's house also suffered a similar fate, with some iron sheets blown away and left hanging atop nearby trees.
