Govt turns to teachers in climate change fight
Uganda, May 9 -- As floods, drought, and erratic rainfall continue to disrupt learning and businesses across Uganda, environmentalists and government officials are turning to teachers as the country's frontline force in building climate change resilience among young people.
The initiative seeks to equip educators with knowledge and tools to integrate climate change education into classrooms, while also supporting Uganda's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Action for Climate Empowerment priorities.
