Govt moves to structure enterprise growth amid small trader struggles
Uganda, April 18 -- Uganda has moved to strengthen and structure enterprise-led growth with the launch of a new national platform, even as many small traders, particularly in Kampala, struggle to stay afloat following recent enforcement operations that have disrupted informal businesses.
The National Planning Authority (NPA), in partnership with Innovation Village Hub, has launched the UG Catalyst Summit, an execution platform designed to accelerate the delivery of Uganda's growth agenda under the National Development Plan IV (NDP IV), with enterprises positioned at the centre of implementation.
