Uganda, April 24 -- The Minister of state for trade, industry and cooperatives (industry), Mr David Bahati on Friday told Parliament that the government had suspended the enforcement of trade order across the country to allow for further consultations following public outcry.
This was after a section of MPs raised concerns in the House that the manner in which the trader order is being implemented had left livelihoods destroyed, before questioning whether the government had plans of restoring lost businesses.
