Uganda, April 30 -- Tension flared in Ggaba on Thursday morning after local residents protested being denied access to the makeshift court where judgment in the high-profile murder trial of Christopher Okello Onyum is expected to be delivered.

A leader of the group who managed to reach the venue, put up his hand and raised the concern on behalf of the affected colleagues who were stranded at the gate.

The residents argued that many lost invitation cards when a storm hit the tents last week, and denying them entry unfairly excluded them from proceedings they have closely followed since the trial began.
