Christopher Okello Onyum, the man accused of killing four toddlers at a Ggaba daycare centre, has begun his defence by denying intent and portraying himself as a person of good character who was under severe distress at the time of the offence.
Okello, 38, is charged with murdering Gideon Eteku, Keisha Agenorwoth Otim, Ignitius Sseruyange and Ryan Odeke at Ggaba Early Childhood Development Centre on April 2, 2026.Guided briefly by his lawyer Mr Richard Kumbuga, Okello took to the dock during his Friday public trial at Ggaba Community Church and opted to give an unsworn statement.
