Uganda, April 11 -- The Police in Masaka City are probing a fire that destroyed property at a boy's dormitory in Kisoso Parents Primary School in Kimanya Kabonera Division on April 10, 2026.

The Southern Region Police Spokesperson, Mr Twaha Kasirye, said on Saturday that the Police fire team responded on time to put out the fire before it spread to other buildings.

"No life was lost in the fire, but the pupil's property was destroyed in the fire. The school uses both Solar and power as energy sources, but it was the solar system that reportedly got a short circuit, igniting the fire. Our teams are, however, on the ground to get the facts before a conclusive report is made," he said.
