Uganda, April 30 -- A yet-to-be-identified female motorist has been shot by a police officer near Speaker Anita Among's residence in Kampala, sources told this publication on Thursday.The woman who was reportedly driving a Toyota Harrier near the residence of the Speaker of Parliament at Mackinnon Road in Kampala City was shot at around midday.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Ms Racheal Kawala confirmed the shooting and the injury of a woman, but she said the details are still scanty on what led to the shooting."It is true there was a shooting.
