Uganda, April 19 -- An engineer is among two people who were killed in a fatal road crash at Kamonkoli Town Council in Budaka District along the busy Mbale-Tirinyi Highway.

The accident occurred on April 18, 2026, at about 11:05am, according to police in the Bukedi North Region.

The deceased have been identified as Fred Tumusiime, an engineer at Kamuge Seed School in Pallisa District, and Agali Kanyago, a peasant from Bukatikoko Village in Nabugalo Parish, Kaderuka Sub-county in Budaka District.

According to the Regional Police spokesperson, ASP Wilfred Kyempasa, the crash involved a silver Mercedes-Benz motor vehicle and a maroon Haojue motorcycle.
