Uganda, May 2 -- Between the 6th and 14th of October last year, Gulu city's streets were filled with visitors, about 30,000 guests from across the world thronged Kaunda Grounds in Bardege-Layibi division to witness the maiden Gulu City Oktoberfest.
The action-packed event showcased culture, merry-making, tourism potentials and idea sharing between leaders and traditionalists from Gulu city and Germany's Bavaria City.
Outgoing Gulu City Mayor, Mr Alfred Okwonga and Counsel Walter Okidi Ladwar championed the initiative, graced by Acholi's Paramount Chief David Onen Acana II, flanked by culturalists from Bugisu, Buganda, Bunyoro, Acholi, Lango, Alur, and Karamoja, to name a few.
