Court issues arrest warrant against suspect in pastor Kayanja case
Uganda, May 14 -- The Mwanga II Court at Natete-Rubaga has issued a warrant of arrest against one of the youths accused of falsely implicating Pastor Robert Kayanja in sexual misconduct after he failed to appear in court without explanation.
Senior Principal Grade One Magistrate Adams Byarugaba on Thursday ordered police to arrest Martin Kagolo on sight after he absconded from proceedings despite the case having been fixed for hearing.
"I have heard submissions from both sides. The issue is the absence of the sixth accused from court without any plausible explanation," Magistrate Byarugaba ruled.
