Uganda, April 28 -- The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) has embarked on sensitising farmers in Busoga to shift from sugarcane growing to palm oil farming.
The National Oil Palm Project (NOPP) was introduced to boost oil palm production in several regions of Uganda.
According to ministry officials, the 10-year National Oil Palm Project (NOPP) is expected to perform better in the Busoga sub-region due to its fertile soils.
