Uganda, May 5 -- The Bishop of Busoga Diocese, Prof Grace Lubaale, has urged leaders to avoid clinging to power beyond their tenure, warning that leadership is temporary and should be exercised with humility.
Prof Lubaale made the remarks during the weekend at the send-off ceremony of Bugabula BB Isabalangira, Prince Henry Woira Kitimbo, held in Buyingo Ward, Namwendwa Town Council in Kamuli District.
He cautioned leaders against imposing themselves on the people after leaving office, stressing that leadership is not permanent and should not be treated as personal entitlement.
"God does not build a nation on the efforts of one person. Leaders should stop boasting because their time will surely come to an end whether they like it or not...
