Uganda, April 29 -- After years of watching their fresh produce go to waste due to unreliable markets, horticultural farmers in the Bunyoro sub-region finally have a reason to smile.
A new breakthrough has opened doors beyond Uganda's borders, offering them a chance to turn their produce into steady income.
Through a joint venture with local exporter KK Foods, farmers are now accessing markets in Western Europe, including the United Kingdom. The partnership is expected to not only reduce post-harvest losses but also boost household incomes and position Bunyoro's produce on the international stage.
