Bukalango marks 25 years of prayer, healing
Uganda, April 19 -- Thousands of believers and government officials on Sunday gathered at Mt Sion Prayer Centre, Bukalango in Wakiso District, to mark its 25th anniversary, as church leaders called for deeper faith and moral renewal.
Leading the Catholic Mass, Kampala Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere criticised Christians who profess faith but engage in wrongdoing, citing the case of Kampala day care murder suspect Christopher Okello Onyum.
"Even the man who is accused of killing four babies in Ggaba has a Christian name. He is called Christopher," Ssemogerere said.
Onyum is currently on trial before the High Court under a mobile court system.
