Uganda, May 11 -- Gloria Akao, 33, died at a clinic in Lira City West on March 23, 2026. She was buried five days later at Lela Village, Apii Parish in Ayer Sub-county, Kole District.

At her burial, 50kg of meat, 50kg of rice, three goats, 50kg of beans, 50 cartons of drinks and 80kg of maize flour were used to feed mourners. The cost left her mother, Rose Abor, a widow herself, struggling to recover.

On May 10, church members, friends and relatives who missed the burial traveled to Otingluk Village, Awaping Parish, Abako Sub-county in Alebtong District to comfort Rose.
