Uganda, May 4 -- Residents of Amolatar District are in shock following the killing of a Senior One student who was stabbed during a fight at a disco just a day after returning home for first term holidays.

Kenneth Odon, a student of Kangai Senior Secondary School in Dokolo District and a resident of Abedober Village in Arwotcek Parish, Arwotcek Sub-county, was stabbed to death by unidentified attackers on May 3, 2026 at around 2:00 a.m.

His friend, Tonny Okot, 21, was seriously injured in the attack and is receiving treatment at Amolatar Health Centre IV.

Moses Aboko, the LC3 chairperson-elect of Arwotcek Sub-county, told Monitor that he was among the first responders at the scene.
