Uganda, April 29 -- It's believed that many natives of Teso were born and raised outside their homeland. Some of them were raised in Kampala and other parts of the country, and across the world and have never set foot back home.

These groups have little or no idea about the tradition and customs of the Teso community, with some being described as the lost generation.

The Teso community boasts of several customs and unique cultures, ranging from food, drinks, lifestyles, dances, leisure, and language

Commonly known among them are the traditional ajono drink, a unifying local drink, brewed from millet, non-toxic, drank in a group, from a pot, using a wooden straw.
