Uganda, April 26 -- Rwot David Onen Acana II, the Cultural Chief of the Acholi Chiefdom, has decried the rapid loss of critical cultural values of the Acholi community, citing limited attempts to document and preserve them.
Rwot Acana says it is important to protect and preserve the culture and identity of the people, noting that it guides the future generation.
He said in a statement read by Mr Jacob Kilama, the Chiefdom's Senior Administration Officer, while meeting a group of dramatists and artists from the Acholi sub-region.
He urged the group to prioritise movies and drama acting to deliberately portray the identity and history of the Acholi people and educate the young people.
