Uganda, April 20 -- Soroti City will host this year's national Mother Earth Day celebrations amid persistent conservation challenges.
Organisers aim to use the event to draw attention to environmental degradation, mobilise community action and enhance protection strategies.
Mother Earth Day will be commemorated on Wednesday, the 22nd, under the theme "Our Power, Our Planet", which is meant to help raise awareness and protection of the environment.
It comes as Soroti City battles rising pollution, wetland encroachment, and waste management gaps that continue to strain local ecosystems.
