Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- As National Serpent Day approaches (Feb 1, 2027), Sri Lanka prepares to host the inaugural World Congress on Snakes (WCS 2026) in Kandy-celebrating an extraordinary reptile hotspot and confronting the ecological and public health challenges of human-snake coexistence. WCS 2026 is scheduled to be held at the Grand Kandyan Hotel, Kandy from October 1-4.
