SriLanka, Oct. 21 -- The final day of scheduled power cuts will be implemented today (October 21, 2026), with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announcing a temporary rotational power cut schedule for the evening peak hours following a blackout and the continued unavailability of the Lakvijaya Power Station.

According to the schedule, Group 3 will experience a power interruption between 4.30 p.m. and 5.00 p.m., with electricity expected to be restored between 5.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. Group 4 is scheduled for an interruption between 5.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m., with power expected to be restored between 6.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
