Sri Lanka, March 26 -- Opposition MP Ravi Karunanayake, who was one-time Minister of Foreign Affairs, said today he will come up with a statement in Parliament after finding the real facts on the Iranian vessel issue.
"Things are not clear about the issue as President Anura Kumara Dissanayake told the other day that Sri Lanka did not heed Iran's request for a goodwill visit of its vessels, while the Iranian Ambassador in Colombo says there was an invitation by the Sri Lankan government. It is not possible to make any conclusion in such a situation. Therefore, I will find the real facts and will come up with a statement in Parliament soon," MP Karunanayake told journalists.
