Sri Lanka, April 9 -- Water supply to areas including Homagama town, Wekanda Road, Pinketha Road, Walawwa Road, Gemunu Mawatha, Athurugiriya Road, Galawilawatta, Niyandagala, Mahakatuwana, Magammana, Deniya and the Diyagama University area will be suspended from 8:00 p.m. today (9) to 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, the National Water Supply and Dranage Board (NWSDB) said.

The restriction has been imposed due to the prevailing dry weather conditions, which have led to a rapid decline in water levels at feeder reservoirs supplying the Labugama Water Treatment Plant and Kalatuwawa Water Treatment Plant. As a result, water production at these facilities has been limited.
