Sri Lanka, May 26 -- A discussion between representatives of the Sri Lanka Upcountry Hindu Priests' Association and Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake was held this morning (26) at the Presidential Secretariat, the President's Media Division (PMD) said.

The meeting focused on long-standing issues and challenges faced by Upcountry Hindu priests over several decades. Officials said that the Secretary to the President assured government intervention to provide systematic solutions to these concerns.

It was also agreed to hold follow-up discussions every two to three months to review progress on the matters raised.
