Sri Lanka, April 8 -- Authorities have conducted a raid on an Ayurvedic cream manufacturing facility in Matale following an investigation by the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA).

The raid, carried out on April 7, targeted a supplier linked to an establishment in Mawanella. Officials revealed that the facility did not possess the required licenses or approvals to manufacture the specific types of creams.

Investigations found that the business had been sourcing products in bulk from other manufacturers, repackaging them under its own branding, and distributing them to tourist areas. It was also observed that such products were being sold to tourists at excessively high prices.
