Sri Lanka, July 24 -- Two 14-year-old schoolboys have tragically died after falling off a waterfall while attempting to take a selfie during a bath at the Knuckles Jodu Falls (Jodu Ella).

According to Panwila Police, a group of five Grade 9 students from Knuckles Tamil Maha Vidyalaya had gone for a bath around 4:30 pm on Wednesday (22). While there, two of the students slipped and fell off the waterfall while taking photographs.

One student died instantly, while the other passed away while being transferred to Kandy National Hospital for further treatment, after initial admission to the Madulkelle Hospital.

Police investigations have identified the deceased as B. Saljith and K. Dilon, both residents of Knuckles Estate in Thawalantenna. ...
