True national development requires strong values and cultural identity: PM
Sri Lanka, June 29 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya says Sri Lanka's national development cannot be measured solely by the growth of infrastructure and material resources, stressing that lasting progress depends on strengthening national identity, moral values, and cultural bonds.
Speaking at the inaugural "Anubuddhabhi Vandana" Divulapitiya Poson Grand Perahera on June 28, the Prime Minister said development should focus on building a society united by shared values and mutual respect.
