Sri Lanka, Sept. 24 -- A free online token system for obtaining Transport Medical Certificates will be introduced today (24), the National Institute of Transport Medicine said.

The official ceremony to launch the new system was held today at the National Institute of Transport Medicine in Nugegoda.

The event was held under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Dr. Prasanna Gunasena and Deputy Minister of Urban Development Eranga Gunasekara.

The new system is expected to enable applicants to obtain tokens online when scheduling appointments for the medical examination required to obtain a driving licence.
