Sri Lanka, Nov. 6 -- Heavy traffic congestion is being reported in Colombo due to the flooding of several roads, Police said.

Several roads in Colombo have been affected by flooding, resulting in significant traffic congestion.

Meanwhile, railway operations could also be delayed due to a signals failure reported near the Wellawatte, Fort, Maradana and Alawwa railway stations, the Department of Railways said.

In the meantime, the Department of Meteorology has forecast fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 75mm at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
