Sri Lanka, April 2 -- A group of Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) members, led by Mano Ganesan, met President Anura Kumara Dissanayake this morning (02) at the Presidential Secretariat.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on issues affecting Malayagam communities, particularly in the areas of education, housing, and land. The need for urgent measures to address these concerns was also emphasized, with the President paying special attention to the matters raised.
The discussion also focused on the shortage of teachers in estate sector schools, highlighting the importance of recruiting qualified Tamil-medium teachers. This issue was deliberated at length.
