Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Three people, including an infant, died in an accident this morning, involving a collision between a jeep and a three-wheeler in the Gonamariyawa area along the Kebithigollewa Medawachchiya main road.

The deceased are a grandmother residing in the Padaviya area, her daughter, and a 10-day-old infant child.

Police said the accident occurred while they were traveling to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital to get medical treatment for the baby.
