Sri Lanka, Oct. 27 -- US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Eric Meyer today presented a master's degree from the US Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) to Lieutenant Commander Piyumi Kathriarachchi of the Sri Lanka Navy at a ceremony held at the American Center in Colombo.

The ceremony was attended by Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph, Director General of Training, and Commander C.R.P. Walakuluge, Director of Media of the Sri Lanka Navy.

Lieutenant Commander Kathriarachchi graduated near the top of her class after completing the Defense Logistics Management programme at the NPS in Monterey, California, with honours and a grade point average of 3.98 out of 4.0.
