Sri Lanka, Sept. 14 -- Dr. Duminda Silva, who became the first Sri Lankan model to win a world championship title, returned to the country last night after being crowned the winner of the Elite category at the World Senior Model (Master of the World - 2026) competition in Singapore.

The competition was held from September 6 to 10 with the participation of contestants from 22 countries.

Apart from winning the main title, Silva also secured victories in four sub-categories - Best Personality, Best Role Model, Best Swimsuit and Most Popular Contestant.

Silva, who has previously won the Mr. Sri Lanka title, holds a doctorate and is also an attorney-at-law.
