Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- Sri Lankan model Savinda Tennakoon, who represented the country at the "Top Model of Universe - 2026" competition in Turkey, returned to Sri Lanka after securing third place and winning the Best National Costume award.

The competition was held in Istanbul from September 14 to 18, with models from 33 countries participating.

Tennakoon arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake at around 5.10 a.m. today (20), aboard Turkish Airlines flight TK-730.

His parents and the National Director of the competition, Mayura Perera, were present at the airport to welcome him.

Tennakoon is currently studying Computer Science at a university in England.
