Sri Lanka to strengthen management of shark fishing industry
SriLanka, Aug. 22 -- The Fisheries, Aquatic and Marine Resources Ministry has initiated a programme to strengthen the management of Sri Lanka's shark fishing industry in line with international standards.
A special discussion on the sustainable management of shark fishing was recently held at the Ministry under the patronage of its Secretary, Dr. B.K. Kolitha Kamal Jinadasa, with the participation of Director General of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Susantha Kahawattamahathaya.
