Sri Lanka, March 25 -- While appreciating Iran's offer to provide Sri Lanka with oil and other necessary goods, Cabinet Spokesman Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said yesterday that country's that own vessels can benefit from such opportunities and that Sri Lanka is not having such an ability.

Responding to a question about Iran Ambassador's remarks that Iran is ready to provide oil and other necessary goods if requested, the Minister said "The countries that have vessels can benefit from such a facility. We do not own vessels and do not have such an ability to import fuel from Iran. We appreciate the Ambassador's offer," he said.
