Sri Lanka, April 22 -- Sri Lanka is on the brink of a crippling medicine shortage, including essential and life saving medicines, that threatens to paralyze both public and private healthcare sectors, the Sri Lanka Chamber of the Pharmaceutical Industry (SLCPI) warned yesterday.
Issuing an urgent call to action, the Chamber cautioned that escalating pressures across the pharmaceutical supply chain are severely jeopardizing the country's ability to ensure "uninterrupted access to essential and life saving medicines".
