Sri Lanka Embassy alerts nationals after sudden flooding in Nepal
Sri Lanka, Oct. 11 -- No Sri Lankans have been affected by the sudden flooding in Nepal's Budhigandaki River so far, while the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kathmandu is closely monitoring the situation and alerting the Sri Lankan community, the Foreign Ministry said.
The Embassy is in close contact with community members and has advised them to remain alert to developments and avoid travelling to areas that could be affected by the flooding.
The incident occurred in the Gorkha District of Nepal's central region.
