Sri Lanka Customs exceeds revenue target ahead of month-end
Srilanka, Aug. 31 -- Sri Lanka Customs has exceeded its revenue target for August, achieving the target before the end of the month, according to Customs authorities.
Customs had been set a revenue target of Rs. 190.274 billion for August. By August 27, it had already surpassed the target, recording revenue of Rs. 199.629 billion.
With August 31 being the final day of the month, Customs revenue is expected to cross the Rs. 200 billion mark by the end of the day.
Sri Lanka Customs has been tasked with achieving an annual revenue target of Rs. 2,206.995 billion for 2026.
During the first eight months of the year, it has recorded total revenue of approximately Rs. 1,832.7 billion.
