Sri Lanka, April 10 -- Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne today warned Ilankai Thamil Arasu Katchi (ITAK) MP Shanakiyan Rasamanickam that he would be removed from the Chamber if he failed to comply with his ruling.
The warning was issued following a verbal clash between MP Rasamanickam and Minister of Fisheries Ramalingam Chandrasekaran, whom the MP accused of receiving bribes from individuals engaged in illegal fishing. The Minister, in response, rejected the allegation, stating that the MP was making false claims driven by a personal grudge.
