SriLanka, Sept. 21 -- Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne has received the Supreme Court's official determination on the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, according to the Speaker's Office.

The Speaker is expected to formally communicate the Supreme Court's determination to Parliament in due course.

The 22nd Constitutional Amendment Bill was presented to Parliament on August 18 by Minister of Justice and National Integration Harshana Nanayakkara, beginning the parliamentary process for the proposed legislation.
