Sri Lanka, June 10 -- Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne, who lost his cool today, accused that some Opposition MPs are brainless.

He said this when Chief Opposition Whip Gayantha Karunatilaka, Sujeewa Senasinghe and Ramanathan Archuna raised points of order.

The Speaker made this remark several times today. He said this lastly when MP Archuna requested him to withdraw the statement.

"You yourself have violated Standing Orders by stating that MP Senasinghe is brainless. You have to withdraw the statement," the MP said.

The Speaker then said MP Archuna was also brainless.
